St. Louis (August 22, 2011)- The Cardinals return to Busch Stadium to start a stretch of 16 home games in 21 days. They are coming off a road trip that took the team to the North Shore of Pittsburgh to play three games with the Pirates (1-2) and the North Side of Chicago for a weekend series with the Cubs (1-2). This homestand the Cardinals play host to the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Pirates. The 10th homestand of the season is highlighted by the second Social Media Night of 2011 on Thursday, Willie McGee Bobblehead Night on Friday and Matt Holliday Bobblehead Day on Sunday. Monday, August 22, 2011-Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (7:15 p.m.) • Starting at 5:45 p.m., fans will have the opportunity to meet Lance Berkman at the Step Up to the Plate Against Hepatitis C testing event in the Ford Plaza. Learn more at allabouthepc.com/baseball. • MLBPAA Auctions: The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association will conduct a baseball-themed silent auction inside Gate 3 from the time gates open (5:15 p.m.) through the seventh inning. All proceeds will benefit the Players Alumni Association, a non-profit group that strives to preserve the game of baseball and support a variety of charities. Tuesday, August 23, 2011-Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (7:15 p.m.) • Jackie Robinson Jersey Ceremony: Tonight 33 winners of the Jackie Robinson Day Jersey Raffle that took place earlier in the season will receive their game-worn jerseys in a pre-game ceremony. The promotion offered fans a chance to win a game-worn jersey from the April 15, 2011 Jackie Robinson Day game at the Los Angeles Dodgers. On that day all players wore number 42 in honor of the great Robinson. Anheuser Busch, Mobil on the Run and Ice Mountain will donate a total of $55,000 to the Jackie Robinson Foundation. Wednesday, August 24, 2011-Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (1:15 p.m.) • Marines Swearing-in Ceremony: The evening includes a U.S. Marine Corps swear-in ceremony and presentation of the colors. • AAA Night at the Ballpark: Come join AAA members at Busch Stadium and purchase $10 Loge Level tickets for the game. Thursday, August 25, 2011-Cardinals vs. Pittsburgh Pirates (7:15 p.m.) • Social Media Night Presented by Budweiser Bowtie Bar: The Cardinals and Budweiser present Social Media Night at the new Bowtie Bar inside Busch (located on level two in the left field area). For just $20 fans will receive a Left Field Porch ticket loaded with $5 in Cards Cash, access to a pre-game program featuring prizes and current Cardinals player appearances. The pre-game program begins at 6:00 p.m. and there will be $5 "Bottoms Up" 12 ounce Budweiser drafts on special throughout the event. • Apple Vacations Getaway Thursday: Apple Vacations will be giving one lucky fan a seven-day all inclusive vacation for two to the Dominican Republic. • Bud Select Hot Air Balloon: Tonight the Bud Select 55 hot air balloon will be on the Ballpark Village Softball Field. There will be chances to win a free ride in the balloon and there will be free samplings of Bud Select 55. Friday, August 26, 2011-Cardinals vs. Pittsburgh Pirates (7:15 p.m.) • Willie McGee Pre-Game Ceremony: The Cardinals will honor former outfielder Willie McGee in a special pre-game ceremony. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to Busch as McGee, Vince Coleman and others will participate in a special ceremony that will include McGee throwing out a ceremonial first pitch. • Throwback: Tonight the Cardinals will wear their 1985 white jerseys, the same uniforms the team wore during the 1985 National League Championship season. • Bombs Away: The Long Haul Bombers will hold a softball home run hitting contest before tonight's Cardinals game. The Bombers are a collection of the world's greatest softball homer run hitters. • Willie McGee Bobblehead Night: Tonight 25,000 fans of all ages will receive a Willie McGee bobblehead courtesy of Coca-Cola and Dierbergs. • Busch Bash in the Ford Plaza: Fans are able to participate in all the fun starting two hours before every Friday night home game. A great way to kick-start the weekend-there will be music, prizes and autographs by former or current Cardinals players. This week will former Cardinals Willie McGee and Vince Coleman from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The first 200 fans in line are guaranteed an autograph. Players and schedules are subject to change. The recommended gate entrances for autographs are Gates 4, 5 and 6. • Bud Select Hot Air Balloon: Tonight the Bud Select 55 hot air balloon will be on the Ballpark Village Softball Field. There will be chances to win a free ride in the balloon as well as free samplings of Bud Select 55. Saturday, August 27, 2011-Cardinals vs. Pittsburgh Pirates (3:10 p.m.) • Creve Coeur Camera Day: Fans are invited to gather on the field to get up-close and personal pictures of their favorite players and Fredbird, courtesy of Creve Coeur Camera. Field access is on a first-come, first-serve basis and the event is weather permitting. • Bud Select Hot Air Balloon: Tonight the Bud Select 55 hot air balloon will be on the Ballpark Village Softball Field. There will be chances to win a free ride in the balloon as well as free samplings of Bud Select 55. Sunday, August 28, 2011-Cardinals vs. Pittsburgh Pirates (1:15 p.m.) • Matt Holliday Bobblehead Day: Today 25,000 fans of all ages, with paid admission, will receive a Matt Holliday bobblehead courtesy of Trane. • BioScience Day: The St. Louis Cardinals and the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center are proud to host the 2nd Annual BioScience Day at Busch Stadium, a pre-game exposition in the Ford Plaza, Sunday, August 28th. The exposition will showcase the region's leading plant and life science companies, including Monsanto and the St. Louis Science Center. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center's World Food Day Commemoration. For more information visit cardinals.com/bioscience. • North Star Ice Cream Sunday: All fans can visit the Ford Plaza during pre-game for free frozen treats (while supplies last) sponsored by North Star. Bring the entire family to the plaza as there will be music and plenty of fun in addition to the delicious frozen desserts. Dynamic Deals of the Week The Cardinals new value-based dynamic pricing system allows the organization to offer outstanding ticket savings to fans throughout the season. Special values are highlighted each Monday as part of the "Dynamic Deals of the Week" promotion. As of the mid-point of the season, over 80% of games had featured tickets priced lower than 2010 (38 out of 46 games), and over 75% of games had featured tickets priced at $10 or below (36 out of 46 games). The deal for the week of Monday, August 22: Fans can purchase Right or Left Field Pavilion seats for just $15 on August 26- 28 & Coca-Cola Scoreboard Patio Tickets for only $49 on August 27th & 28th. Cardinals Care Stadium Auctions Every Tuesday and Friday, fans can get the unique opportunity to bid on exclusive autographed Cardinals memorabilia. The auction is a great way for fans and collectors alike to obtain specialty Cardinals items while helping to support the programs that Cardinals Care provides to youth in the community. The auction tables will be located at Gate Three, on the first baseline concourse, outside the Cardinals Club, inside the Redbird Club and in section 452 of the Terrace level. 2nd Annual Cardinals Care 6K The second annual Cardinals Care 6K run is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 18, 2011. There will be a limited number of participants, so those interested are encouraged to sign up now at cardinals.com/runhome. All participants have until September 11, 2011 to raise $150, which includes a $28 registration fee. Cardinals Crew Kids Club Party Saturday, September 3rd will be the Cardinals Crew Kids Club Party for Cardinals Crew Kids Club members only. The party will be from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Ford Plaza. There will be games, player appearances, refreshments, a question and answer session with Tony and an appearance by Fredbird. Ice Mountain Green Team The Ice Mountain Green Team is a group of volunteers who walk down the aisles of the seating bowl in-between innings collecting recyclables from fans and promoting recycling at Busch Stadium. Volunteers are asked to arrive 45 minutes prior to game time for a brief training session. Recycling collection begins in the 2nd inning, continues throughout the game and ends 15 minutes following the conclusion of the game. The Cardinals are looking for friendly volunteers from local colleges, community organizations, church groups - even friends and families - to join the "4 A Greener Game" initiative and help collect recyclables from fans throughout each game at Busch Stadium. In exchange for your services, you're able to watch the game in standing room only sections of Busch Stadium, as collections are only done in-between innings and during pitching changes so as not to disturb fans trying to watch the game. You will also be entered into a monthly drawing for prizes such as autographed items, memorabilia, and tickets to an upcoming game! Joplin Relief Efforts During the June 17-26, 2011 homestand, Cardinals Care raised over $200,000 to assist the Joplin, Missouri relief efforts. Proceeds from broadcast and online auctions as well as individual donations will go to benefit the special Joplin Recovery Fund that will be distributed by Cardinals Care to assist youth in the area devastated by the May 22nd tornado. Fans can still help by donating online at cardinals.com/Joplin or by texting the word JOPLIN to 32020. Stadium Tours Busch Stadium tour tickets are now available to be purchased online at cardinals.com/tours. Tours are normally offered daily at 9:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. throughout the baseball season (April through September) with exceptions for public holidays and events. Tour tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for military personnel and seniors and $6 for children 15-years-old and under. In addition to being able to purchase tickets on line at cardinals.com/tours, fans may still purchase tickets at windows 19 and 20 on Clark Street at Gate 5 thirty minutes prior to the first tour or by calling 314.345.9000. Busch Stadium tours last approximately one hour and include stops in the Redbird Club, broadcast booths, Cardinals Club and Cardinals Dugout, as well as other unique areas of the stadium. All 2011 Home Games The Cardinals are pleased to team up with KMOX 1120 to offer the KMOX 1120 First Pitch Tickets. At 9 a.m. on the day of each game, fans may purchase a voucher for two tickets to that day's game for a total cost of $11.20 ($5.60 per ticket). The voucher may be redeemed for tickets 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the game. The tickets may be anywhere in the park, depending on availability. Cardinals Care and Rawlings Team Up Fans are encouraged to donate new or gently used baseball and softball equipment at a special bin located in the US Cellular Family Pavilion in center field and for three games this season there will be bins to collect items placed at every Busch Stadium gate. All fans who make a donation will receive a 10 percent discount on Rawlings products at ShopRawlings.com. All members of the Cardinals Crew Kids Club presented by Rawlings will receive a 20 percent discount for donating. Monday through Thursday Special Ticket Offers • Members of the Automobile Association of America (AAA) receive a $10 discount off the price of select tickets to most Monday through Thursday games. • The Grand Slam Ticket Pack allows fans to purchase four Terrace level tickets, four hot dogs and four Coca-Colas for the special price of $60.
