Last September, Dena Wendell was moved to tears on her 50th birthday when she was caught off guard during FOX Sports Midwest's "This One's For You" broadcast of a Cardinals game to the troops overseas.
Dena's husband, Bob, was a first sergeant in the St. Louis-based 1138th Transportation Company in Afghanistan and he took part in the broadcast by wishing his wife the happiest of birthdays over a satelite link from Bagram Airfield.
Dena called it her best birthday to date.
After completing his 10-month deployment, Bob finally returned home and made his first trip back to Busch Stadium with his family on Monday. During the game, he helped promote the next broadcast to the troops, which will take place on Friday.
