Dodgers' Community Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway

During the holiday season, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Dodgers Dream Foundation (DDF) stay busy in the community hosting a number of holiday events. The Dodgers and DDF in partnership with Los Angeles City Councilmember Ed P. Reyes, Council President Eric Garcetti and Senator Kevin De Leòn host the annual Dodgers' Community Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway where 600 pre-selected families receive a complimentary turkey and fixings provided by Dodgers Dream Foundation partner, Ralphs & Food 4 Less. Members of the Dodgers Alumni Association are on hand to help distribute the turkey dinners to the families.

Dodgers' Community Holiday Ham Giveaway

In December, the Dodgers and Dodgers Dream Foundation in partnership with Los Angeles City Councilmember Ed P. Reyes and Council President Eric Garcetti, host the annual Dodgers' Community Holiday Ham Giveaway where 300 pre-selected families receive a complimentary holiday ham donated by Farmer John and fixings by Ralphs & Food 4 Less. Members of the Dodgers Alumni Association are also on hand to help distribute the Holidays dinners.

Children's Holiday Party


Over 300 youngsters get introduced to the Dodgers Alumni and Santa.

As part of the season of giving the Los Angeles Dodgers and Dodgers Dream Foundation host their annual Children's Holiday Party at Dodger Stadium where Dodger players, front-office staff and members of the Dodgers Alumni Association are on hand to read to the children, sign autographs, sing holiday songs and play games. Three hundred children and teachers from local elementary schools and community centers spend the day playing games, visiting with Santa, and eating lunch. All children in attendance receive a Dodger goodie bag filled with Dodger merchandise and a brand new pair of sneakers, courtesy of A Foundation for Kids. Also, a "Reading Dugout" consisting of a bookcase filled with more than 100 books is donated by the Dodgers Dream Foundation to each of the organizations and schools that attend the party.
