Astros at the plate: An Astros offense that was quiet for three innings suddenly woke up against Tribe starter Paul Byrd in the fourth inning. Victor Diaz launched a solo shot to left. And after Nick Gorneault doubled, Humberto Quintero drove him home with a two-run blast to left.

Indians at the plate: Andy Marte's spring struggles appear to be dissipating. Marte, who homered in Friday's road game against the Nationals, went deep twice against the Astros on Saturday. After Kelly Shoppach got the Indians going with an RBI double in the first inning, Marte brought everybody home with a grand slam to left off Jack Cassel. In the fifth, after Shoppach doubled again, Marte struck with a two-run blast down the left-field line. Andy Gonzalez hit his third homer of the spring -- a two-run shot -- in the fifth.

Astros on the mound: Cassel went four innings, giving up those four first-inning runs then settling down. He struck out three batters and induced eight ground-ball outs. Runelvys Hernandez was ragged in three innings of work. He gave up the two homers in the fifth and six runs in all, five of which were earned.

Indians on the mound: Byrd was rolling along nicely until he got hurt by the homers. In all, he went five innings, giving up three runs on eight hits with four strikeouts. Jensen Lewis walked a guy and gave up a hit, but he kept the Astros scoreless in the sixth. Rafael Perez surrendered a run in the seventh.

Grapefruit League records: Indians 9-9-1, Astros 8-11.

Up next for the Astros: The Astros will be at home on Sunday to take on the Mets at 12:05 p.m. CT. Houston right-hander Chris Sampson will get the starting nod, and he'll go up against New York righty Nelson Figueroa.

Up next for the Indians: For the first time since last fall's American League Division Series, the Indians and Yankees get together at 1:05 p.m. ET on Sunday at Legends Field, albeit with much, much less on the line. The Game 1 starters from that series will once again square off. Tribe ace C.C. Sabathia will oppose fellow 19-game winner Chien-Ming Wang.
