Cuts take Cards down to 33 in camp
Greene, Hawksworth, Jay among those sent to Minors
JUPITER, Fla. -- The Cardinals' roster continued to come into sharper focus Sunday when the team cut five players.

Most of the moves were expected to come at some point, with the possible exception of Greene, who had appeared to force his way into the competition for a utility infielder spot. The moves leave the Cardinals with 33 players in camp -- including third baseman David Freese, who was recalled from Minor League camp on Sunday -- and reliever Dennys Reyes, who was scheduled to arrive to Jupiter on Sunday after pitching in the World Baseball Classic.
"These guys, every one of them, [need to play every day]," said manager Tony La Russa. "Anderson's got to play. Greene's got to play. Jay's got to play. They've got to get out there and play every day in Triple-A."
