Max Ramirez broke a 3-3 tie with a solo shot in the seventh as Omaha beat Round Rock. Anthony Seratelli added a two-run blast, his first homer at the Triple-A level. Seratelli finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Mike Montgomery scattered two runs on seven hits and three walks over 4 1/3 innings in his season debut. The win went to former Oakland farmhand Ethan Hollingsworth (3.0 IP, 3 H, 1 ER).

The Naturals let a 3-0 lead slip away, culminating with a walk-off home run by San Antonio's Jason Hagerty. Tim Melville shined in his Double-A debut, holding the Missions scoreless on three hits and a walk while fanning six over five innings. Christian Colon was 4-for-4 after entering at 2-for-18 on the season. John Whittleman added a pair of doubles for the Naturals.

The Blue Rocks dropped their inaugural game against the Carolina Mudcats in Zebulon, N.C. The Cleveland affiliate relocated from Kinston, taking the name of Zebulon's former Southern League entry. Greg Billo, Kane County's Pitcher of the Year in 2011, allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits over five innings in his Wilmington debut. Brian Fletcher, Jake Kuebler and Alex McClure recorded hits for the Blue Rocks.

Miguel Sano spoiled Kane County's home opener with a pair of home runs and five RBIs. Starter Brooks Pounders struck out six while yielding a run on three hits and four walks over 3 2/3 innings. Alex Llanos posted a 3-for-5 night with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs. Jorge Bonifacio reached base five times (single, double, three walks).
