Megaton Mundial De Polito Vega rescheduled for Sunday, September 30 at Citi Field

The New York Mets today announced Megaton Mundial de Polito Vega presented by Felix Cabrera and SBS Entertainment has been rescheduled for Sunday, September 30 at Citi Field due to an illness in Vega’s family. Gloria Estefan, Juanes, Jenni Rivera, Don Omar, Paulina Rubio, Ricardo Arjona, Alejandro Sanz, Daddy Yankee, Prince Royce, 3Ball MTY, Silvestre Dangond and more Latin music superstars will headline the historic concert. The show will begin at 3:00 p.m. rain or shine. Gates will open at 1:00 p.m.
“We have made the decision to postpone the concert out of respect for Polito and his family during this difficult time and send them our best wishes,” said Felix Cabrera, concert producer. “We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and look forward to welcoming everyone to Citi Field on September 30.”
Tickets for Megaton Mundial de Polito Vega are on sale at Tickets.com, (718) 507-TIXX and at the Citi Field Ticket Windows. Tickets start at $39 dollars and are subject to additional per ticket service charges. There is a limit of 12 tickets per order. Tickets for the original July 14 date will be honored for admission for the September 30 concert and do not need to be exchanged. Ticket holders who cannot attend the new date can visit Tickets.com for complete information.
The ensemble of artists coming together for the Megaton Mundial de Polito Vega together have sold more than 225 million albums and their music has been at the top of music charts around the world. The historic show marks the first time top Latin music artists from pop, bachata, merengue, salsa, reggaeton, banda and vallenato will share the stage to honor the “King of Radio” Polito Vega. Vega has been instrumental in maintaining “Mega 97.9FM” & “La Nueva 93.1FM, la Variedad de NY” as the top Spanish radio stations in New York for more than 53 years. The 71-year-old Puerto Rican famous for his catch phrases like “moving, moving, moving” is a legend in Latin music to both fans and artists alike.
The concert brings together the hottest acts in Latin music for one night only, thanks to the union of entrepreneur and promoter Felix Cabrera and the largest publicly traded Hispanic-controlled media and entertainment company in the United States, SBS (SBSE) company, which is owned and operated by Raul Alarcon.
Ticket holders are encouraged to use public transportation to get to Citi Field.
