By Matthew Leach / MLB.com
Mulder allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits. He struck out one and didn't walk a batter. He threw 41 strikes and 19 balls. Of Mulder's 15 outs, nine came on the ground, vs. five in the air.
The left-hander, who is making his way back from shoulder surgery in September 2007, threw a full assortment of pitches. He pitched at 85-87 mph on his fastball over the first three innings, hitting 88, before dropping to 83-85 mph in the fifth inning. Mulder threw fastballs, cut fastballs, curveballs and changeups.
It is expected that Mulder will return to St. Louis to throw a bullpen session on Thursday. His next rehab start will most likely be on Sunday for Double-A Springfield, which will be playing at home against Tulsa.
