8/17/2013 | Ubaldo flirts with no-no as Tribe sinks A's
On Saturday night, Ubaldo Jimenez became the living definition of "effectively wild" while leading the Indians to a 7-1 victory over the A's at the Coliseum. 8/17/2013 | Darvish out to continue August dominance in finale
The Rangers have the best record in the AL this month, thanks in large part to ace Yu Darvish, who is 3-0 and has allowed just four earned runs on 14 hits in 22 innings. Darvish, who has struck out 35 and walked just four this month, will oppose the Mariners' Erasmo Ramirez in Sunday's rubber game at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

8/17/2013 | Tigers gauging Iglesias' offensive potential
The Tigers knew immediately what they were getting from Jose Iglesias defensively when they pulled off the trade two weeks ago. That was evident from his first game at shortstop last week in Cleveland. His offense, by contrast, is a whole different question.

8/17/2013 | Kelly, Cardinals blank Cubs at Wrigley
With six scoreless innings, Joe Kelly helped the Cardinals to a 4-0, series-evening win over the Cubs on Saturday. A two-run homer by catcher Yadier Molina and heads-up baserunning by Jon Jay punctuated the victory in front of 41,981 fans at Wrigley Field.

8/17/2013 | After rough outing, Farquhar bounces right back

8/17/2013 | Slumping Franklin sits; Ryan at short, Miller at second

8/17/2013 | Smoak cool with not batting in heart of order
