After a quick weekend away, the Kansas City Royals return home to host American League Central Division foes Detroit Tigers (September 1-3), Chicago White Sox (September 4-6) and Minnesota Twins (September 7-9).
Royals alumni and Mayor Sly James will be at the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum on Sunday for Play Ball KC, an event joining Kansas City with a national initiative of Major League Baseball and the U.S. Conference of Mayors to strengthen youth, families, communities and baseball nationwide.

Due to tonight's national telecast on Fox Sports 1, there will be no live coverage of the Mike Sweeney Hall of Fame Induction ceremonies. We will allow all stations to shoot whatever footage they can from the area on the outfield side of the Royals' dugout. We cannot allow anyone to shoot the ceremonies from behind home plate due to obstructing our fans in the Crown Club seats.
