Ronnie Belliard helped stake Chris Carpenter to a three-run lead with a pair of homers, but the Cards ace allowed four runs in the decisive seventh, putting his club behind for good. The Redbirds' seventh straight loss, coupled with an Astros win, cut St. Louis' division lead to 1 1/2 games.
