The Dodgers fought to the very end, but an aggressive play that resulted in two runners -- Jeff Kent and J.D. Drew -- being punched out at home in succession on Russell Martin's second-inning single may have cost them a Game 1 victory. Nomar Garciaparra hit a clutch two-run double in the seventh, tying the game at the time, after Derek Lowe yielded four runs in 5 1/3 innings of work.
