Dodgers have hill to climb

The Dodgers could get nothing going against Tom Glavine and the Mets, and are now faced with an 0-2 deficit in the National League Division Series. Wilson Betemit's late homer was one of only five Dodgers hits, which couldn't offset Hong-Chih Kuo's two runs allowed in 4 1/3 innings or a number of costly defensive miscues.

Mets glide behind Glavine

Tom Glavine delivered in a big way in his first postseason start as a Met, blanking the Dodgers on four hits through six innings to set New York up nicely with a 2-0 NLDS lead. Jose Reyes drove in two, while Paul Lo Duca and Julio Franco added RBIs in support of Glavine and a solid 'pen.
