Hafner, Marson, Masterson and Pestano to provide Cleveland-area children with an unforgettable day at the ballpark

CLEVELAND -- Prior to this evening's game at Progressive Field, Indians players Travis Hafner, Lou Marson, Justin Masterson and Vinnie Pestano will provide everlasting memories to a group of 50 children from the Boys & Girls Club of Cleveland - West Side Club, as the Major League Baseball Players Trust's Buses for Baseball program motors into Cleveland.

Courtesy of the Players Trust, the students will receive round-trip transportation to the game, meet the players and receive free tickets, food, beverages and souvenirs.

This season, Buses for Baseball will provide transportation and personal greetings for more than 750 underprivileged children attending Major League Baseball games as invited guests of their big league heroes. Buses for Baseball will provide many of the children with their first chance to attend a Major League Baseball game.

The Players Trust enjoys support from the Cleveland Indians organization in providing this unique, up close and personal opportunity to share the thrill of Major League Baseball with those less fortunate.

The Boys & Girls Club of Cleveland proudly serves more than 6,300 children in five free-standing Club sites as well as six school sites in Cleveland. They strive to provide needy children a safe place to grow, learn and realize their full potential -- because they will become the parents, workforce and leaders of the future. With a wide range of programs, BGCC supports healthy lifestyles, academic success, character-building and leadership development. For more information on this organization, please visit
