Players Trust selected to participate in annual Cantor Fitzgerald Charity Day
Alex Rodriguez to represent Trust on Charity Day

NEW YORK -- The Major League Baseball Players Trust today announced that it was selected to participate in Cantor Fitzgerald Charity Day, this coming Friday, Sept. 11. Every year, Cantor Fitzgerald and BGC Partners, in conjunction with the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund, commemorate the lives of the 658 Cantor Fitzgerald and 61 Eurobroker employees who perished on Sept. 11, 2001.

For the past 10 years, Cantor Fitzgerald has distributed 100 percent of its global revenues on Charity Day to the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund and dozens of charities around the world. Since its inception, Charity Day has raised approximately $113 million globally.

Alex Rodriguez of the New York Yankees will attend Cantor Fitzgerald Charity Day on behalf of the Players Trust. Joining the Players Trust as charitable partners in 2015 Charity Day are more than 40 nonprofits, including CC Sabathia's PitCCh In Foundation, Children in Crisis, Friends of Firefighters, Generation Rescue, Self Help Africa, Solving Kids Cancer and Wounded Warrior Project, to name a few.
