Experience LEARNING through one of baseball's greatest franchises!

The Cardinals Academic Program integrates the game of baseball with school curriculum and provides hands-on activities in various locations at Busch Stadium.

Students in grades 3-8 will participate in three units, selected by the teacher (see below for unit descriptions). Units are designed specifically for Grades 3-4, 5-6, and 7-8.

Each unit was written and designed by Missouri and Illinois educators and aligns with state standards.

Missouri:
  • SCI 7
  • CA 1, 7
  • SS 6,7
  • MA 1,3
  • HPE 1/4
Illinois:
  • 1B, 1A
  • 4A, 5A, 8A, 10A/B, 11A
  • 13B, 18B/C, 20A
  • SEL3


THE GAME PLAN

90-minute session which includes 3 20-minute units
Arrive via the media entrance by Gate 2
Class picture in a ballpark setting - be sure to bring your camera!
Bus parking available
Handicap accessible
Maximum of 60 students per session (min. 25)
Reservations required and must be made at least 2 weeks in advance


COST

$6 per student includes 3 CAP units
OR
$10 super ticket includes the CAP experience and a stadium tour.

1 teacher or adult chaperone per 10 students is required with a maximum of 10 adults for the entire group.

Celebrate the contributions that Jackie Robinson made to Major League Baseball by using past and present player profiles to create a multi-cultural picture of the St. Louis Cardinals.
That's a Winner!
Character Education
Explore important character traits such as respect and responsibility by hearing about the winning character of former Cardinals announcer, Jack Buck, and playing a game entitled, "That's A Winner."
