Season Tickets Charitable Donation Program
Because of the generosity of our Season Ticket Holders, the Cardinals were able to donate over 500 tickets to different organizations in 2008! A large number of tickets have been utilized by foster care families, Boys & Girls Clubs' youth members and volunteers, and as employee recognition. Each donation you provide is helping to make a difference in someone's life. We thank you on behalf of these charitable organizations for your continued donations and support.
Have you struggled to find a way to get the complete value of your season tickets? Or ever had some extra games you couldn't attend? Well, contact your Season Ticket Account Executive and you will be amazed at the amount of ideas they will have for you and your extra tickets. One unique option that we offer you is the St. Louis Cardinals' Season Ticket Charitable Donation Program.
Do you say to yourself at the end of each season, "Look at all of these unused tickets?" Or are you someone that asks yourself, "What am I going to do with all of these while I am out of town?" If you are, then I strongly urge you to take advantage of this wonderful program and help brighten the day of an underprivileged child or volunteer/employee at one of our local charitable organizations. Not only will you be helping someone in the area, but you will also receive a tax deduction. It's a win-win situation!
Greg and Teri Miriani have been loyal season ticket holders for over ten years and have been utilizing the St. Louis Cardinals' Season Ticket Charitable Donation Program for much of that time. They, like many others, want to see their tickets enjoyed even if they can't make it down to the ballpark themselves. "We donate (tickets) four to six times a year. It's difficult to go to every game and we would rather donate so others who may not have a chance to go to a game get the opportunity."
Brian Durham of Bucryus, Missouri, like many of our dedicated Cardinals Season Ticket Holders, travels quite a distance to get to the ballpark. "I live two and a half hours from Busch Stadium, so I cannot make it to all of the games that I would like to. The program is a very easy way to make a tax-deductible charitable donation of tickets to your extra Cardinals games. The tickets are always given to reputable organizations and they always take the time to send a thank you letter and information on their particular mission."
The Season Ticket Charitable Donation Program is something that has been implemented by the Cardinals for several seasons now. The Cardinals have worked with many charitable organizations and have witnessed a substantial and valuable impact on the community and the organizations. Some of these non-profit charities the Cardinals already support include: Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and the Mathews-Dickey Boys & Girls Club, just to name a few. Because of the incredible generosity of our loyal season ticket base, numerous disadvantaged St. Louis residents have been given an opportunity to enjoy America's greatest pastime and spend nine memorable innings in baseball heaven.
It is extremely easy to donate your season tickets for a game. Just complete the
Season Ticket Charitable Donation Form and mail it to Busch Stadium, along with your tickets, to the Cardinals at least 7 days prior to the game. The Cardinals will handle everything else from there! You will receive a copy of the letter sent to the organization receiving the tickets as well as a letter from the Cardinals stating your tax-deductible contribution that you can use when filing your taxes.
